Weep Not For Me

[A Poem]

By Stacey J. Haseleu

hands 4

Weep not for me,
For when I’ve passed.

For although I must go alone,
I will not be by myself.

Those who travelled before me
Will greet me at the gates,
With kisses to my cheeks,
And welcoming smiles upon their face.

And forgiveness too shall follow.
My lingering soul parted
Will grace my Lord, my God,
And I will be home.

Weep not for me,
For when I’ve passed.

For although I must depart
You will not be alone.

Forever we shall be employed,
Together.
Our souls entwined,
In love divine.

Our hearts
Forever beat on.
In the distant drum of footsteps,
Of those we leave behind.

Weep not for me,
For when I’ve passed.

For time belongs to no one,
And change
To all in life must follow.

My soul will seek your presence
Through virtues kind and true.

And in your sweet remembrance,
Feel my eternal love for you.

  1. Lovely poem, but I’m a bit worried. Are you going through a lot of loss right now, Stacey? If so, know that you are not alone.

    • No worries Chanda! I actually wrote the poem a long time ago, but decided to put it up on my site. You’re right, though, the content is a little depressing! I’ll be sure to post something of a lighter nature next 🙂

Tell me what you think...
